While recalling traditional strip-wooden Lake boats, this free-standing coffee table evokes a rock-like asymmetry. By lofting the surfaces of an offset circle and a square, simple platonic geometry yields a complex curved surface. We designed this version for the Okoboji House using solid White Oak boards to referencing the surrounding forest.
