9th Avenue Apartment

Built-in cabinetry discretely accommodates the clients' needs while simultaneously adding spatial definition, color, and texture to the 'clean slate' of the apartment.

For residence that straddles new and old areas of a building conversion in the Meatpacking District, our challenge was to accommodate lots of storage, expansive audio/visual components, a desk, and a chef’s kitchen without compromising the loft-like spaces of the apartment. Our approach unified these diverse needs with a single strategy based on flexible cabinetry. The built-in units discretely accommodate all of the clients’ needs while simultaneously adding spatial definition, color, and texture to the ‘clean slate’ of the apartment.
